Cannabis & Hemp Cultivation
This microcredential prepares students for employment in the cannabis and hemp industry with hands-on training in growing and harvesting hemp, as well as courses dedicated to cannabis policy, regulations and marketing.
With an emphasis on sustainable horticulture practices and the latest scientific research, this program will provide students with the basics of growing, harvesting and light processing of hemp.
Required courses are:
- AGR 124 Cannabis & Hemp: Introduction to Sustainable Cultivation
- AGR 125 Cannabis & Hemp: Harvesting & Introduction to Processing
- BUS 123 Marketing New York’s Agricultural Products
- ECO 121 Cannabis: A Journey Through History, Society and Policy
This microcredential:
- Comprises 12 credits;
- Is able to be completed in two semesters;
- Costs $231 per credit, for a total of $2,772, plus textbooks and college fees;
