Regular wellness events

SUNY Adirondack offers multiple opportunities to incorporate healthy movement in to your life.

Join us on the turf field for intramural sports from 6 to 8 p.m. Mondays! Play a different sport every week, or just come to cheer on your friends!

Meet at 12:45 p.m. outside the Student Center for an exploration of meditation every Thursday. This session runs through 1:15, and is open to students, faculty and staff.

Zoom in from your desk, dorm or office to join Tobey Gifford, director of Health & Wellness, as she guides you through some light yoga to help relax and energize you for the second half of the day! Open to students, faculty and staff.

Meditation can give you a sense of calm, peace and balance that benefits your emotional well-being and overall health. Join Beth Braxton, LMHC and Counseling Division chair, for a weekly centering that is open to students, faculty and staff. Come weekly or just drop in when you need to recharge! This is held in Washington Hall, Room 113, and is also available via Zoom.

At noon every Tuesday (weather permitting), join Tobey Gifford, director of Health and Wellness, for a half-hour wellness walk around campus. Meet in front of Warren Hall and join a group that includes students, faculty and staff.
