Health care

To succeed in the classroom, your essential needs must be met — and that includes being healthy. SUNY Adirondack offers students two free or low-cost health care options on campus.

On-site nurse

11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, Residence Hall

Glens Falls Hospital nurse Deb Neal is available to see students from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday in the Residence Hall, Room 159A. She can provide first-aid treatment and health education, offer initial assessment, triage and follow-up care, and act as a resource for medical information. Visits to the nurse are free.

Hudson Headwaters Mobile Health

9 a.m. to 4 p.m. the second and fourth Thursday of every month, outside the Residence Hall

SUNY Adirondack, in partnership with Hudson Headwaters, is proud to offer on-campus medical care at Hudson Headwaters Mobile Health Center outside the Residence Hall. The mobile unit is a highly customized 40-foot vehicle that includes two fully equipped private exam rooms, a registration area, a point-of-care testing area, a lab draw station and care facility offering primary care visits for adults and children. The health center includes a bathroom and wheelchair lift.

Walk-ins are accepted, but appointments are encouraged. Once you're scheduled, you can complete your patient forms on the Hudson Headwaters app. As a patient, you can also access health records, view test results and message your provider through the Hudson Headwaters patient portal.

Hudson Headwaters cares for everyone in our communities, regardless of financial or insurance status. The network participates with most major insurers, including Medicare and Medicaid, and offers sliding fee discounts and budget plans. If you need help securing health care coverage, contact The Hub at SUNY Adirondack, which was developed to help meet the non-academic needs of students.
