Biography
Born and raised in Syracuse, New York, Samuel Johnson began his career in higher education in Fall 2013 at his alma mater, SUNY Canton, as a residence hall director. During his time there, Samuel took on many roles, including Freshman Seminar instructor, advisor to six social clubs, and active participant in programs like Jumpstart and the Educational Opportunity Program (EOP). Samuel’s commitment to student success and inclusive communities led him to serve in this role for several years, enhancing the student experience. In November 2021, Samuel transitioned to SUNY Adirondack, where he now serves as director of Educational Opportunity Program. He continues to support and empower students, ensuring they have the tools and guidance needed to thrive.

Bachelor's degree in Business Management from SUNY Canton, 2013; Master's degree in Educational Leadership from St. Lawrence University, 2020
Hobbies and interests
Samuel lives in Queensbury. He loves traveling, going to the movies (a lot), going for walks and creating social media/podcast content for his platforms outside of work.
