Biography
Kelli Hatin has been teaching at SUNY Adirondack for more than 20 years. She manages the Hospitality Management AAS degree program and teaches classes throughout that program, as well as the other five Business degrees and certificates. She has also branched out to teach with the Culinary program, offering a Bar Operations and Mixology Class at Seasoned, our downtown college restaurant. Hatin is a SUNY Distinguished Professor and has been awarded The SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Teaching. In the classroom, she tries to provide all students with real-world lessons and examples, opportunities to network, and “added value” items including nationally recognized certifications she arranges at minimal to no additional cost to the student. She has been named “Advisor of the Year” two times, serves on various college committees and works within the hospitality and marketing industry. She co-owns and operates a mobile bartending service, “Mixaritas.” She started this business with a former student in 2011 and it is still going strong. As a sideline to that business, she owns and operates “Mixa-Fusion,” an infused simple syrup company.
