Biography

Dr. Best served as the Accelerated Learning Program (ALP) coordinator for the campus and the SUNY community. She co-chaired the SUNY Adirondack Diversity Committee. She specializes in writing pedagogy, American literature, decolonial studies, feminist studies and queer studies.

Ph.D. from the University of California, Riverside, 2013; Master of Arts from the University of York, England, 2006; Bachelor of Arts from SUNY Buffalo, 2005

Hobbies and interests

Dr. Best lives in Albany with her wife and two daughters. She loves reading, walking, cooking, yoga and pottery.
