Biography

Alan Wishart was a member of the Granby Police Department (Massachusetts) for 29 years. He started during college as a volunteer auxiliary officer and worked his way through the ranks having held just about every full-time position and assignment within the department. Teaching and training other police officers was a focus throughout his career. He spent the last 10 years of his law enforcement career serving as chief of police. He retired from his first career in 2021 to pursue his love of teaching.

Hobbies and interests

Al lives in Queensbury with his wife, son and their dog. He loves everything the Adirondacks have to offer. He enjoys any activity that takes him to the lake or mountains. When he's not teaching, Al can be found boating, fishing, hiking and snowmobiling. He's also a huge Boston Celtics fan.
