Learning outcomes

  1. Recall key facts and theories in science and mathematics.
  2. Demonstrate the ability to work safely and effectively in a science laboratory and/or in the field.
  3. Evaluate the validity of mathematical or scientific information when abstracted from technical, scientific, and/or other sources.
  4. Employ written and verbal communication skills, including the appropriate use of technology, to demonstrate an understanding of mathematical and scientific concepts.
  5. Apply appropriate techniques to correctly solve mathematical or scientific problems.
  6. Formulate mathematical abstractions from patterns, using logical thought processes.
     

Curriculum and requirements

This program supports careers in health education, public health or specialized health. This program also supports students missing required courses to apply for our Nursing degree program. SUNY Adirondack offers free science equivalency credits to accelerate degree completion. Earn up to six credits in biology and/or chemistry for past achievements.
