Forest Tech 1+1 program

SUNY Adirondack's Forest Technology degree program studies forest ecology, teaching the science behind natural resource management. Our program combines coursework with field training to provide students with real-world experience. Students are active in mind and body while earning the first year of credits to transfer to SUNY ESF.

Students of this program take courses in botany, chemistry, math, writing, English, economics and a variety of Liberal Arts electives.

Moving on to SUNY ESF

SUNY Adirondack comprises Year One of a Forest Technology degree. You then have automatic acceptance and full-credit transfer to ESF’s Wanakena campus. At more than 100 years old, SUNY ESF is the oldest dedicated college of science and forestry in the country. The Ranger School's Wanakena campus sits on 2,800 acres of land in the heart of the Adirondack Park.

The Adirondacks and northern Lake George are seen during the autumn from a helicopter
