Faculty Assistant & Summer Enrichment Office Assistant Program Volunteer Opportunity

Are you looking for a fun and rewarding way to spend a few weeks of your summer? If you are a student entering grades 11-12, or a recent graduate, you can participate in our Summer Enrichment Program as a faculty assistant or Summer Enrichment office assistant.

Faculty assistants have an opportunity to volunteer as an assistant with a Summer Enrichment faculty member in an area of interest, working with kids and helping them learn. Summer Enrichment office assistants volunteer at the Continuing Education office and assist with the program. At the end of the program, you will receive a certificate of completion and a letter of recommendation. Gain valuable experience to strengthen your resume! Contact our office at conted@sunyacc.edu or 518-743-2238 and we’ll send you an application.

We’re partnering with Black Rocket to offer online science and technology courses for students ages 8 to 14. Starting in June, weekly summer classes will be offered. Visit the Black Rocket website for details and to register!

Limited scholarship funds are available for Summer Enrichment classes based on financial need. Students must be registered for one or more Summer Enrichment courses before their scholarship requests can be reviewed. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, and scholarships will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. To request a scholarship application, contact SUNY Adirondack Continuing Education at conted@sunyacc.edu or 518-743-2238.

Course drop/refund policy for Summer Enrichment youth courses: Tuition and fees will be refunded if drop notification (written, phone or in person) is received by the Office of Continuing Education during normal business hours (Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.) before 4 p.m. Friday, June 20, 2025. No refunds will be processed after the June 20 deadline. Students who withdraw after June 20 will still be liable for the cost of the course(s) for which they registered. If a student does not receive a confirmation via email, the drop request was not received or processed. Non-payment may result in balances being turned over to a collection agency. All collection fees, including reasonable attorney fees, will be the responsibility of the student.
