SUNY ADK scares up Halloween event
Celebrate Halloween with pizza, music, bounce houses and more
QUEENSBURY, New York (Oct. 25, 2021) — There’s something a bit more sweet than scary happening this Halloween at SUNY Adirondack: From 4 to 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 29, the public is invited to join Trunk or Treat.
The college’s Office of Student Engagement & Diversity Initiatives (SEDI) offers the event to all community members to enjoy family-friendly trick-or-treating, music, inflatables, food and more.
“This is a great way for our students, faculty and staff to make connections with the broader community,” said Taylor Testa, director of SEDI. “Some of our adult learners, faculty and staff have children, so this gives them an opportunity to share with their families why they love SUNY Adirondack. And for those who don’t have kids, this is still a wonderful all-ages event.”
Cars will be parked in the college’s South Parking Lot (south of the Residence Hall and east of the Gymnasium), many with trunks decked out for the occasion. Trunk-or-treaters will go car to car to collect candy and show off their costumes to SUNY Adirondack faculty, staff and clubs including Anime Club, DMZ Cybersecurity Club, Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, Pride Club and Veterans Club.
Trunk or Treat is free and open to the public. Costumes are welcome.
Pies on Wheels food truck will serve pizza with choices of toppings that include pepperoni, bacon, spinach, mushrooms, onions and peppers. Adirondack Broadcast Association will deejay the event, which also includes inflatable entertainment.
We hope to scare — er, see — you there!
