Event to celebrate late poet

Late adjunct professor's life celebrated

SUNY Adirondack will hold a Celebration of Paul Pines event on Aug. 10 to honor the legacy of Pines, an adjunct professor, poet, novelist, memoirist, librettist, jazz club owner, Lake George Jazz Festival organizer and Jungian psychoanalyst.
The event, which is free and open to the public, will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Aug. 10 in Dearlove Hall on the Queensbury campus.
Novelist Russell Banks, composer Catherine Reid, SUNY Adirondack poets and friends will perform and reminisce on the life of the highly regarded and prolific artist.
