Bookstore advance request

You might qualify for a bookstore loan advance, in which you can use some of your federal loans to buy your books.

To be eligible, you must:

Have approved loans
Not be eligible for federal Pell
Be registered in the term in which you are applying
Have a valid certificate of residence on file
Have excess funds available after paying tuition, housing and fees
Not have an outstanding balance with SUNY Adirondack
Submit an application to Student Accounts every semester

You can view the amount for which you're eligible under the "Student Accounts" tab in Banner. Please note: You will only be charged for the amount spent at the campus bookstore.

Full-time students are eligible for up to $750 in a bookstore loan advance.

9 to 11

Students taking between nine and 11 credits are eligible for up to $560.

6 to 8

Half-time students are eligible for up to $375.

1 to 5

Part-time students are eligible for up to $185.

Please issue a credit toward the purchase of my textbooks from my federal loans. I authorize the college to pay my resulting bill directly from the proceeds of my federal loans for the term. I understand that it will be my responsibility to pay should I become ineligible for financial aid, and that SUNY Adirondack has power of attorney to cover such transactions.
