RH Perry & Associates is selected as the search firm to assist with the presidential search.

The search firm tours the SUNY Adirondack and Saratoga Branch Campuses and meets with the Board of Trustees to conduct pre search study discussions.

Nominations and elections to serve on the presidential search committee in accordance with SUNY guidelines. One representative from each of the following groups will serve on the committee:
- Faculty Caucus
- Administrative and Support Staff Employee Groups
- Student Senate
- SUNY Adirondack Foundation
- FAACC
- ESP Association
- Warren and Washington counties
Search consultants conduct pre-search study sessions with various constituent groups from within the college community.
The search consultants conduct the first meeting with the search committee.
Chancellor King charges the SUNY Adirondack presidential search committee members.

Presidential search ad, prospectus and profile is finalized and placed on www.rhperry.com, the SUNY Adirondack website and in several national publications.
Search consultants begin recruitment efforts.

Search consultants conduct preliminary screenings of prospective candidates and pre-qualifying interviews.
The presidential search committee begins the first review and evaluation of candidate materials.
The search committee meets to determine the top 8-12 candidates that it will select for first-round virtual interviews.

The search committee conducts semi-finalist interviews and recommends four to five candidates for on-site campus visits and interviews with a variety of campus constituencies.

Up to five finalists visit the college to meet with members of the college community and participate in town hall-style sessions.
On-campus finalist interviews to take place with the Board of Trustees.

The Board of Trustees votes on finalists at the Feb. 27 meeting and selects the top finalist to forward to SUNY.

SUNY Chancellor and senior leaders interview Board-selected finalist (name remains confidential until SUNY ratification)
SUNY Chancellor presents the final candidate to the SUNY Board of Trustees for formal action.

SUNY Adirondack Board of Trustees appoints the approved finalist candidate as the new president.
Announcement of new president made in conjunction with SUNY Chancellor and SUNY Adirondack.
