Maryanne Preston

"My goal is to share my love of nursing with my students. I hope to empower my students with insight and knowledge so that they may effectively bridge the gap between nursing theory and nursing practice in the real world and improve the quality of health in our community."

Biography

During her career, Maryanne Preston has delivered direct patient care in a variety of settings such as cardiac step down, critical care, urgent care, and outpatient pulmonary and cardiac diagnostic settings. She has more than 23 years of experience as a nurse educator in hospital and academic environments.

Education

Bachelor of Science in Nursing from York College of Pennsylvania, 1984; master's degree in Nursing Education from Excelsior College, 2013; Nursing Professional Development Board Certified since 2010 from the American Nurses Credentialing Center                                                            

Hobbies and interests

Maryanne enjoys living so close to so many outdoor recreation sites and the ablility to enjoy so many activities around the Adirondacks' dazzling lakes, wild mountains, and charming towns and villages.
