Liberal Arts Humanities and Social Sciences: Political Science Concentration

Program Overview

The Humanities and Social Science—Political Science Track program will help students learn to interpret and experience the world around them. Invaluable skills like communication, thinking for yourself and problem solving are the core of this program and help students to see the diversity in societies around the world. Further study in political theory, international relations, comparative politics, and research methods give context to the global human experience that drives our lives, both professional and personal.

Elective classes including the arts, foreign languages, and theatre will enhance the learning experience and give Liberal Arts’ students a better understanding of what concentration and future degree best fits their personal career path.

SUNY Adirondack offers small class sizes and access to dedicated faculty who have years of experience studying in their fields. Students are able to take a variety of classes that not only meet program requirements but also satisfy their personal interest in politics. Advisors and instructors work closely with graduates to achieve their goals as they transfer.

The Humanities and Social Science—Political Science program is designed to prepare students for transfer to a four-year college or university, including but not limited to the many institutions SUNY Adirondack maintains agreements for seamless transfer with, such as:
