France and Italy - December 2014


INT 204 – Religion, War and Art will be offered during the Fall 2014 semester, with travel dates of December 27, 2014 – January 11, 2015.  The course themes include, but are not limited to:

  • the direct correlation between times of war and its effect on art
  • the Napoleonic Period and World War II in Paris
  • the influence of the Medici family in Florence
  • the influence of the Popes and Catholic Church in Rome
  • Language/culture component, drawing component and art history will be presented
  • Visits to Louvre, Arc de Triomphe, Musee D’Orsee, Uffizi, St. Peter’s Cathedral, Vatican, Medici Chapel, Colosseum and more
