Guatemala and Belize - 2015


INT 204 – Maya Cultural Heritage and Community Interaction will be offered during the Spring 2015 semester.  The course outcomes include, but are not limited to:

  • The study of indigenous peoples of Guatemala and Belize
  • Mesoamerican art and biodiversity
  • Business aspects of MayaWorks microloans for agricultural and craft enterprises in Xetonox
  • Exportation and marketing of products, ecotourism and sustainability
  • Visits to volcanos, jungles, rainforests, caldera lakes and barrier reef
